The autonomous driving system designed by Bylogix within the ICT Cluster, stars at the international ribbon cutting ceremony
VeGA project is the result of over 3 years of development and internal investments by Bylogix SRL, an innovative SME born in 2007, that offers services in the Automotive, Railway and Industrial sectors and operates in different international markets (Europe, US, China, Russia and India). In few years, Bylogix has established itself in the design and development of solutions and systems for hybrid and electric mobility, in the development of electrical and electronic architectures for new-concept vehicles and innovative electronic components.
VeGA (Autonomous Driving Vehicle) is an autonomous Level 3 (L3) vehicle that use of Nvidia Drive® technology, high-performance cameras and position sensors which, thanks to software algorithms and artificial intelligence, recognize objects, define their distance and indicate the right direction to avoid them by following a path define by the user.
The autonomous driving system was born from the vision and experience of Eng. Francesco Ricciardi, CEO of Bylogix, which seen in Artificial Intelligence and Computer Vision technologies the new frontier on the automotive sector. In 2016 the project was launched thanks to public grant from the Piedmont Region (ROP Piedmont ERDF 2014-2020) through the support of the ICT Innovation Pole manage by Torino Wireless Foundation.
Bylogix, regard autonomous driving, is working on several projects with the aim to integrate additional features to the autonomous driving system such as the vocal assistant and 5G communication.
Bylogix is also part of the Smart Road Committee of the City of Turin, in charge to define autonomous driving experiments areas in according with Municipality Plan.
