Start Cup Torino Piemonte 2007

Latest days to submit innovative business plans

The participation to the competition is free and open to individual person or groups.
For the application rules, conditions for admissions and prize award refer to the Official Call for Proposal for the competition.

Participants may submit a Business Idea or a Business Plan.

Deadlines

The application to the competition, filled in using the specific application forms, must be submitted to the venue of the organizing bodies:

  • Participants to the Business Idea Competition, submitting the filled in application form ?Business Idea? by 12.00am April 18th 2007
  • Participants to the Business Plan Competition, submitting the filled in application form ?Business Plan? and the business plan by 12.00am July 18th 2007

PRIZES

For the Business Idea Competition
The best business ideas will be awarded with free of charge services, that consist in pre-incubation activities arranged by the Promoting Bodies such as training initiatives aimed to provide tools for business plan development and tutorship.
The tutorship activity will be carried out by experts with specific competencies on business planning

The winning ideas may be developed into real business plans in order to compete for cash prizes in the second phase of the competition.

For the Business Plan Competition
The three best business plan will be awarded with:

  • 1° PRIZE 20.000 euro
  • 2° PRIZE 15.000 euro
  • 3° PRIZE 10.000 euro


Piemontech, the financial holding of the Torino Wireless District, will invest 50.000 euro to create a company on the basis of the first prize business plan.


National Innovation Award
The three winners will be admitted to participate to the National Innovation Award 2007 that will take place in Napoli, December 2007 with an additional money prize of 110.000?. The Champions League of the innovative business plan sets a contest amongst the winners of the local business plan competition, organized by the Universities joining the Award.

SPECIAL PRIZES 7.500 euro each


  • ICT
    for the best business plan related to Information & Communication Technologies (ICT), sponsored by Torino Wireless Foundation.


  • ISMBStart Cup International

    to the best business plan developed by a transnational entrepreneurial team, sponsored by Istituto Superiore Mario Boella.

  • Turismo High Tech – High Tech Tourism
    to the best business plan related to innovative technologies for the tourism sector, sponsored by Regione Piemonte – Department of Tourism.
  • Donna Innovazione Piemonte – Woman Innovation Piemonte
    to the best business plan with a female prevalence in the entrepreneurial team, sponsored by Gender Equality Unit of the Province.

All the prized may be accumulated for a maximum of 20.000 ? per business plan.
