International meeting: Torino Digital World

Financing cooperation to bridge the digital divide

TOrinoDIGITALWORLDThe Region of Piedmont, the Province of Turin and the City of Turin promote an international meeting trough the Cooperation Agency for Local Authorities. TORINODIGITALWORLD aims at discussing about cooperation, best practices and financial instruments for the reduction of the digital divide. It is an international meeting that wants to support the activities of the Digital Solidarity Fund and to promote contacts with all the actors of civil society.

The meeting is part of a worldwide framework of actions. The results of the Turin meeting will be an important contribution for future appointments dealing with information society, scheduled at the end of 2005 in Bilbao (Spain) and Tunis (Tunisia) in occasion of the World Summit on information society.

Besides the meeting, there are two other important international events: the WSA International Road Show, showcase of the best worldwide e-content projects, and the final phase of the e-Content Award, the Italian contest for quality digital contents.
