European Venture Contest 2007

In October the competition for companies looking for Venture Capital

The contest will take place on 18 and 19 October at I3P (Incubator of the Politecnico di Torino):

Target
Participants to the European Venture Contest must fulfil the following criteria:

  • Established private companies (no projects, plans, ideas);
  • Breakthrough innovation in technology or services (product or service tackles a big problem in the market, or an opportunity that has not been exploited and the offer is an elegant solution that creates substantial value);
  • International ambition and potential (to change the industry and market);
  • Linked to Europe (location, founders, funding, expansion plans…).

Companies will be allocated to one of two categories: Life Sciences and High Technology, each with their own Selection Committee, Experts and Final Jury.

Edition 2006
In 2006 the Venture Contest was in its second edition.

  • 485 entrepreneurs from 34 countries registered
  • 178 companies received assistance and feedback
  • 125 companies were selected to present at 5 Pitching Sessions
  • 87 companies actually presented, representing 19 countries
  • 18 finalists competed for the title in Lisbon on 4 December 2006
