RESULTS AND CONSEQUENCES

Starting with existing network protocols and solutions (an analysis of the state of the art), the most suitable standard for node specifications was identified and innovative solutions were explored for hardware and communication protocol so as to reduce energy consumption to a minimum. The best solution for collecting and storing the energy necessary for communications was also studied (energy harvesting).
The study found that the product is feasible and that the sector taken into consideration is preparing itself to become of strategic importance. The next step could be a research project that develops the implementation characteristics in greater detail:

  • Choice of platforms
  • Identification of specifications
  • Preparation of a prototype
