The main storage monitoring tools allow to identify resources underutilized or completely unused, lost and deleted files, abnormal behavior, unauthorized file types, given its owner, etc. They also allow to map unstructured data repositories, and track changes to permissions and the group membership, reviewing privileges, classify critical data. Analysis activities and integration proposals in this study will enable NIS to design and develop a new module or “connector”, called Data Storage Assessment, within its own prototype of Risk Assessment.
