Museo Piemontese dell’Informatica

Museo Piemontese dell’Informatica – MuPIn (O.d.V.) is a volunteer-based association founded in 2011 to preserve, enhance, and promote the historical heritage of computing and digital technologies. It operates as a cultural and educational hub, fostering awareness of the history of computing and its impact on contemporary society.

It manages an extensive collection of thousands of hardware and software artefacts, along with a specialised library, providing access to valuable historical and scientific resources for students, researchers, and enthusiasts. Its activities include educational workshops for schools of all levels, digital literacy programmes, public engagement events, thematic exhibitions, and outreach initiatives.

Particular attention is given to inclusion and the promotion of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) disciplines, also through programmes such as CoderDojo and projects focused on digital citizenship.

The organisation stands out for its ability to connect historical memory with innovation, collaborating with universities, cultural institutions, and local stakeholders to develop projects with strong educational and social impact.
