AIS 202 ?High Level IMU? is based on very sophisticate traditional sensors (example: Fiber Optical Gyro ? FOG), is usually integrated in the system, comprehensive of a set of video and laser cameras, provided by DMA S.r.l. to compute the real time analysis of the railways geometry. Mixing the AIS 202 data with the data incoming from the cameras the system is able to determine with very high accuracy the main parameters that characterize the geometry of the railways (Superelevation [mm]; Vertical Alignment (Left/Right) [mm]; Horizontal Alignment (Left/Right) [mm]; Twist [mm/m]; Curve [rad/Km]; Gauge [mm]; Speed (km/h); Distance [m]). The system is able to operate both on special trains dedicated to the railways maintenance, than on goods and passengers trains, also high speed trains.
Customer Matisa (https://www.matisa.ch/), Switzerland company involved in the supplying of devices for railways maintenance in all the world, will provide the system to TreniItalia to improve and accelerate the actual solutions adopted to evaluate the railways working status.
