CLIRA is a startup born as a spin-off of the Politecnico di Torino, driven by a simple conviction: satellite Earth observation has the potential to guide every decision about our territory — from water to climate, from infrastructure to risk — but that potential has yet to be unlocked and made truly usable.

For twelve years, the Sentinel satellites of the Copernicus programme have been telling the story of our planet in one of the richest archives in the world, open and free. Yet that wealth remains almost silent: speaking with satellite data requires technical skills that few possess. We were founded to break down this barrier.

With IULIAN, we have given those data a voice: a conversational platform that turns Earth observation into clear answers, within everyone’s reach. No software to learn, no technical barriers — you ask a question in plain words and receive reliable maps, analyses and reports, ready to guide a decision.

Our vision is a world in which satellite intelligence is no longer reserved for specialists, but becomes an everyday tool for those who design, protect and manage our territory. We want to close the distance between the vastness of available data and the people who make decisions that matter, every single day.
